To the editor:

During this holiday season, it is a good time to remember to thank people for good things they do to help other people in our community. Cash Wise Foods in New Ulm, recently donated over $10,000 to the New Ulm Area Food Shelf to help people with food needs. The store was able to do this by asking their customers if they were willing to “round up” their grocery bill. Thank you to the store cashiers who were very pleasant in thanking the customers for their help. Thank you to all the customers who generously donated the extra cents which added up to over $10,000.

Also, thank you to the Concord Singers for their continued sharing of “Gemülichkeit” through their concert November 20th. Instead of charging admission, they collected boxes of food and over $700 in cash for the New Ulm Area Food Shelf. Thank you to the generous concert goers and the Concord Singers.
