The American Dream
To the editor:
I lived the American Dream. I was born in 1938, went to country grade school, on to New Ulm High School, graduating in 1956. I met my wife in 1959, taking her home from a dance at George’s, asked her for a date and she said yes and started the American Dream. We married August 20, 1960. We lived in Lafayette and I have always worked in town and I always wanted to farm. We bought a farm site with 67 acres and moved down near New Ulm in 1974, also part of the American Dream where we had a 30 cow/calf beef operation on our hobby farm, another part of the American Dream. Our family consists of 3 sons, 2 daughters, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way. Another part of the American Dream.
I retired from AMPI in 2000 and living the American Dream. Where I live I call it “My Paradise here on earth!”
Here is something to think about… if you vote for Biden and the socialists of the Democratic party, your grandkids and great-grandkids will not have an American Dream but will have a socialist nightmare. Vote for Trump and Pence on November 3 or earlier and your grandkids and great-grandkids will have a chance at the American Dream.
That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it. Elderly gentleman from the Midwest clinging to his guns and religion.
