Sibley County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a two-vehicle crash at 5:47 p.m. Saturday near 31298 627th Avenue, Severance Township, about 2 miles south of Gibbon. Daniel Garton, 32, Gibbon was driving a 2006 GMC Yukon southbound on CR 2 when he collided with a 2020 Dodge Durango driven by Emily Ahlbrecht, 43, Gibbon. Both drivers wore seat belts and were not injured. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed. Gibbon Police, Fire and Winthrop Ambulance assisted. Brown County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to a disturbance report in Evan at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday. A 16-year-old Evan male was shooting a firearm in the city limits. No damage or injuries were reported. A report will go to Brown County Probation. New Ulm Police • Responded to a theft report at Wal-Mart at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday. A 32-year-old New Ulm woman was identified as skip-scanning items over several days. A report for consideration of misdemeanor theft charges was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office. New Ulm Police • Responded to a fight outside the B & L Bar on the first block of Minnesota St. North at 10:59 p.m. Saturday. Officers rendered first aid to a 43-year-old Fairfax man before an ambulance was dispatched to tend to the man. Police were provided cell phone video of the fight in which a 31-year-old New Ulm man punched the Fairfax man. The New Ulm man was located, arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. It was not known if the Fairfax man went to the New Ulm Medical Center. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of disorderly ...
