New Ulm Police • Responded to a fight outside the B & L Bar on the first block of Minnesota St. North at 10:59 p.m. Saturday. Officers rendered first aid to a 43-year-old Fairfax man before an ambulance was dispatched to tend to the man. Police were provided cell phone video of the fight in which a 31-year-old New Ulm man punched the Fairfax man. The New Ulm man was located, arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. Sibley County Sheriff’s Office • Responded to an ATV crash on 441st Avenue, (CR 13), New Auburn Township, about 4 miles east of New Auburn at 12:05 p.m. Thursday. Larry Lindemann, 76, Arlington, was driving a 2007 Arctic Cat ATV in the southbound CR 13 ditch, lost control and became trapped underneath the ATV in a small body of water. Family members freed Lindemann from underneath the ATV prior to first responder arrival. Lindemann did not wear a helmet. He was cited for failure to transfer title, attempt to escape tax and driving without a valid driver’s license. Reports went to Brown and Sibley County Probation. • Stopped a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Minnesota Lake man for an equipment violation at Broadway and 13th St. N. at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday.
