New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 1:43 p.m. Monday on the 500 block of 7th North Street. A 2014 Chevy Impala driven by Sharon Elizabeth Fitterer, 74, New Ulm, was in front of a 2012 Ford Expedition driven by Jack Christopher Griebel, 17, New Ulm northbound on 7th North. Fitterer slowed to turn right into the Express Lane station and was struck in the rear by Griebel. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. The Ford was towed. Fitterer had minor injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts.

New Ulm Police • A 29-year-old New Ulm woman told police at 4:04 p.m. Friday she was approached by a man in the Walmart parking lot who offered her cash to have sex with him. The woman declined and took a photo of the man’s vehicle license plate as he drove away. A 20-year-old St. James man admitted to police he offered cash to the woman in exchange for sex. New Ulm Police • Stopped a vehicle for poor driving conduct at Broadway and 16th Street South at 10:26 p.m. Saturday. Impairment clues were detected and a 60-year-old New Ulm woman was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report for consideration of fourth-degree DWI charges went to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office. • Arrested a 32-year-old homeless man with warrants in Brown and Cottonwood Counties Tuesday afternoon. New Ulm Police • A 42-year-old New Ulm man told police at 5:09 p.m. Tuesday that a 39-year-old New Ulm woman, the mother of an 11-year-old child they have in common, provided alcohol to the boy. The boy told police the woman offered him a sip of beer. The mother told police she is in a custody battle with the father, who is trying to defame her to get full custody of the child.
