New Ulm Police Department
• Police stopped a 34-year-old Mankato man on 7th N and German Street Saturday at 1:23 am for poor driving. The man showed signs of impairment. Following transport to New Ulm Medical Center for a urine test, the man was transported to Brown County Jail.
• A 52-year-old New Ulm man reported to police at 7:30 am Saturday that a fish finder was stolen from his truck. The value of the fish finder is $1,500. Video surveillance matches the car commonly driven by the 56-year-old Fairmont who the New Ulm man suspected of the crime.
• At 4:16 pm Sunday police responded to detox, where a 34-year-old Mankato man had escaped. Officers were unable to locate the man as of Monday.
Nicollet County Sheriff’s Department
• Emergency personnel from Nicollet County, Lafayette County, Allina Ambulance, and Minnesota State Patrol responded to a crash at 7:24 am Wednesday on Co Rd 15 near the intersection of Co Rd 65 in Bernadotte Township. The motor vehicle accident involved a Corvette and Chevy Pickup. The male driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The 76-year-old driver of the Corvette sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
