•A 34-year-old woman from Lafayette left Walmart Friday at 4:39 pm without paying after her card was declined for a purchase of $228.84. The woman claimed that she was unaware that the card was declined.
• Police responded to a call at 10:52 pm Friday that a homeless man was trespassing at Broadway Haus. The 27-year-old man was reportedly harassing residents. He was served a trespass notice and is banned from the premises.
• At 11:55 pm Friday police arrived at the Best Western Plus following threats. A 45-year-old Sleepy Eye man was causing disturbance at the location. He was served a trespass notice and informed that he is banned from the location.
• Police responded to reports of a scam at Walmart 8:37 pm Saturday. The 23-year-old New Ulm woman had seven prior incidents where she did not pay for all of her items. These incidents totaled $564.46 in unpaid merchandise. City Attorney received the report for theft charges.
•A vehicle was stopped by police 2:01 am Sunday at South 20th Street and Valley Street. Police observed signs of impairment following a conversation with the 40-year-old New Ulm man driving. He refused to submit for testing and was transported to Brown County.
