New Ulm Police

• Performed a welfare check of a 30-year-old Le Sueur woman at 4:41 p.m. Friday. The woman said she and her boyfriend had a verbal dispute and he forced her out of his car. Police learned the woman’s boyfriend, a 30year-old St. Paul man was prohibited from being with her due to past domestic violence cases. Police were unable to locate the man. A report was sent to Ramsey County Corrections.

• Took a dog bite report on the 900 block of Franklin St. N. Friday involving a 27-year-old New Ulm man who said he was walking his dog when another dog attacked his dog. The man said he was trying to separate the dogs and was biten by the other dog that drew blood on his hand, but he did not seek medical attention. The other dog’s owner told police the dog’s vaccinations were current. A report went to police animal control.

• Stopped a vehicle for expired registration at 10:43 p.m. Friday at State St. N. and 8th St. N. Police noticed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. A 20-year-old New Ulm male was cited for underage liquor possession and expired registration. An 18-year-old New Ulm female was cited for underage possession. A report was done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle for illegal tint at Broadway and 6th St. S. at 1:39 a.m. Saturday. Police noticed impairment signs. The driver, a 25-year-old New Ulm man was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. He was cited for 4th degree DWI, brass knuckles possession and an expired driver’s license. A report was done for documentation.

• Responded to a domestic disturbance at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, 424 20th St. S. at 2:07 a.m. Saturday. A 28-year-old Kenyon woman, who was visibly shaken and had fresh cut on her nose, told police she and her boyfriend, a 32-year-old Kenyon man, got into an altercation. The man did not cooperative with police. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of domestic assault against the man. Reports went to Brown County Probation and CADA (Committee Against Domestic Abuse).

• Stopped a vehicle driven by a 38-year-old New Ulm woman with a Blue Earth County warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge at Broadway and 8th St. N. at 4:54 p.m. Saturday. She was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail. A report was done for documentation.

• Stopped a vehicle for illegal tint at 8:31 pm. Saturday at Minnesota St. and 7th St. N. The driver, a 35-year-old New Ulm man had three Hennepin County arrest warrants, two for theft, one for burglary. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail. A citation was issued for driving after revocation and window tint.

• Talked to a 67-year-old New Ulm woman at 9:10 p.m. Monday who believed her neighbor came on her property and killed grass along a fence line. Police talked to the neighbor, a 56-year-old New Ulm man who admitted to killing the grass with a chemical but that he and the neighbor agreed he could do so. The other neighbor told police when she put up a fence, the agreement was no longer valid. A report went to the city attorney for review.

• Stopped a vehicle for speeding at 9:40 p.m Saturday at 7th St. N. and Front. Police noticed impairment signs, arrested the driver, a 45-year-old New Ulm man, and took him to jail. A report for consideration of 3rd-degree DWI and driving restriction violations went to the city attorney and Brown County Probation.

• Received reports at 2:17 p.m. and 10:33 p.m. Sunday from a 36-year-old New Ulm woman who said her ex-boyfriend, a 47-year-old Gibbon man, continually sent her messages on the TextNow app. An attempt to locate the man was issued.

• Took a report at 7:27 a.m. Monday from a 45-year-old New Ulm woman who believed her ex-boyfriend, a 58-year-old homeless man, stole her bicycle on the 1000 block of Center St. A report was done for documentation.
