New Ulm Police

• A woman reported a couple EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) cards were taken from a vehicle in the Linderhof Park Apartments parking lot at 8:43 a.m. Jan. 21. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a theft report at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 23 of two tires stolen from vans at the New Ulm High School CTE (Career Technical Education) Center, 208 N. Valley St. Value of the tires was not available. A report was done for documentation.

• Received a disturbance report of loud explosions heard at 11:20 a.m. Jan. 23 coming from New Ulm Steel & Recycling, 218 19th St. S. A report was sent to New Ulm City Hall.

Minnesota State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21 at TH 15 and Shag Road, Cottonwood Township, Brown County. Donald G. Sturm, 62, Howard Lake, was driving a 2018 GMC Terrain southbound on TH 15 and Reuben E. Bode, 74, Courtland, was driving a 2019 Dodge Ram pickup southbound on TH 15 when the vehicles collided. Bode was transported to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Sturm was not injured.
