Brown County Sheriff

• Received a report at 2:11 p.m. Oct. 31 of a mailbox hit by an unknown vehicle on CR 22, Mulligan Township. A report was done for documentation. No more details were available.

• Received a truck-deer crash report at 1:16 p.m. Nov. 2 at CR 29 and 180th Ave., Home Township. Shari Moll, 41, rural New Ulm was driving a 2021 Ford truck that collided with a deer that ran away. She was not injured. Truck damage was light.

• Assisted the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office in pursuit of a 1997 Chevy pickup on Highway 14, Milford Township at 12:23 a.m. Nov. 3. Nobody was found in the pickup. A report was done for documentation.

New Ulm Police

• Received a juvenile trouble call at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 1 at the New Ulm Skate Park, 315 1st St. S. Two New Ulm males, ages 12 and 13, were found smoking marijuana.

• Responded to animal complaints at 6:09 p.m. Nov. 2 on Jonathon Dr. A Fed-Ex driver was bitten by an Australian shepherd. Lacerations were reported on the driver’s knee. Medical attention was not sought. A report was sent to the New Ulm Police Dept. Animal Control Officer.

• Received a report at 10:25 p.m. Nov. 2 of a 30-year-old New Ulm man with a beer bottle at the Burger King drive-through. A report for 3rd-degree DWI was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Received a juvenile trouble call at 8 a.m. Nov. 3 at Riverbend Area Learning Center, 1315 S. Broadway. A report for disorderly conduct and 5th degree assault on a 45-year-old New Ulm female teacher was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office. No medical attention was sought. No damage was reported.

Minnesota

State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 60 at 330th St., Fieldon Township, Watonwan County at 7:22 p.m. Nov. 1. Bruce M. Koepp, 32, Belle Plaine, was driving a 2006 Freightliner semi westbound on Highway 60 when it collided with a 2014 Freightliner semi driven by David L. Alfson, 58, Winnebago, that crossed south on 330th St. Koepp wore a seat belt and was not injured. Alfson did not wear a seat belt and was transported to Madelia Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. Madelia Fire, Ambulance and Police and the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

• Received a one-vehicle rollover crash report at 9:45 p.m., Nov. 2 on U.S. Highway 169, South Bend Township, Blue Earth County. Ellie Jean Stevenson Machau, 27, New Ulm, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger southbound on Highway 169, entered the median and rolled. Machau was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester with life-threatening injuries. She did not wear a seat belt. Alcohol was involved. A passenger, Mitchell J. Thompson, 29, Lake Crystal, was transported to a Mankato hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He did not wear a seat belt. Assisting agencies included Mankato, North Mankato and Lake Crystal Police, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office and North Mankato Fire Departments.
