New Ulm Police
• Recognized a 41-year-old New Ulm man with a revoked driver’s license at 7:34 p.m. March 16 at Amoco, 627 Minnesota St. North. The man left Amoco but was later found on foot on the 300 block, Spring St. N. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for review.
• Responded with Brown County Sheriff’s Office deputies to a juvenile trouble report at 9:30 p.m. March 16 at Highway 14 and Garden Street North. Suspects in a vehicle, age 15 of New Ulm and 14 of Hanska, reportedly fired gell water pods from a water blaster air gun at another vehicle that appeared to have occupants they knew in the area. A pursuit followed on Highway 14 west of New Ulm. A report with misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Received a 911 hangup report at 12:32 a.m. March 17 of screaming involving a 21-year-old New Ulm male at Linderhof Apartments, 1100 16th St. North. The suspect had arrest warrants from Redwood, Renville and Waseca counties. He was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
• Responded to a verbal disturbance report at the New Ulm Motel, 1427 S. Broadway St., at 12:11 p.m. March 17. A 21-year-old New Ulm man with a Renville County warrant was arrested and transported to the Brown County Jail.
• Received a theft report at 1:07 p.m. March 17 from a New Ulm man said reported $196 in fraudulent charges were made on his credit card. A report was done for documentation.
• Received an assault report at 5:24 p.m. March 17 at the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division, 510 Front St. North. The alleged victim is a 30-year-old homeless man who said he was punched in the face. The suspect is a 33-year-old Mora man. Police talked to witnesses but did not see any redness on the victim’s face. A video of the incident and witness statements were sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office for fifth-degree assault charge consideration.
• Stopped a 20-year-old New Ulm man for loud exhaust at Minnesota Street and 15th Street South at 11:03 p.m. March 17. The man was cited for no insurance and expired registration.
