New Ulm Police
•Received a report of aone-vehicle crash without reported injuries at 7:45 a.m. Dec. 7. Juan C. Torres, Jr., 27, Gaylord, was driving a 2011 Ford Focus northbound in Front Street near 20th St. N. when he slid off the road and hit a sign post. Damage was light to the car and city sign post.
•Received informationfrom the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division, 510 Front St. N. at 10 p.m. Monday. An 36-year-old Garden City female patient spit in the mouth and face of an employee. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.
•Received a vandalismreport on the 1700 block, Oakwood Ave. at 2:49 p.m. Tuesday. Three mailboxes were destroyed. It appeared a vehicle slid into them. A report was done for documentation.

•Received a one-vehiclecrash report on U.S. Highway 14, North Mankato, Nicollet County at 11:33 a.m. Dec. 7. Steven J. Leske, 75, New Ulm was driving a 1994 Ford F150 eastbound on Highway 14 when on snow and ice when he collided with a median guardrail. He wore a seat belt but was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) with non-life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved. North Mankato Police and MCHS.
•Received a two-vehiclecrash report with non-life threatening injuries at 9:48 a.m. Dec. 7 on snow and ice on U.S. Highway 71 at Renville CR 4, Henryville Township, Renville County. Scott L. Sunvold, 48, Renville, was southbound on Highway 71 driving a 2003 International semi tractor when he collided with Silvia R. Lopez Sebastian, 19, Huron, S.D. who was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry eastbound on CR 4. Lopez Sebastian and two passengers, Daysi C. Lopez Lopez, 1; and Hector F. Lopez Perez, 24, both of Huron, S.D. were transported to an Olivia hospital. All drivers and passengers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved.
