Brown County Sheriff’s Office
• Received a theft report of about 25 pounds of scrap copper at a residence on 185th Avenue, Milford Township at 7:53 p.m. April 13. The copper was reported to have been taken between 7 and 8 p.m., April 12. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a burglary report at 20657 U.S. Highway 14, Milford Township at 10:03 p.m. April 13. Charges are pending investigation. A report was done for documentation.
• Received a scam/fraud report from a Hanska resident at 1:18 p.m. April 14. Unemployment benefits were applied for but were denied according to the sheriff’s office.
New Ulm Police
• Responded to a verbal civil dispute between an 18-year-old New Ulm man and an 18-year-old Clear Lake woman at 1:23 p.m. April 11 at 801 Valley St. N. A report was done for documentation and may be sent to Brown County Human Services.
• Received a one-vehicle crash report at 20 Minnesota St. s. at 10:23 a.m. April 15. A 2009 Lincoln MKX, no driver listed, was left in gear when the driver exited and went into a store. When the driver returned, the vehicle hit a light pole on the opposite side of the street. The light pole was destroyed. Damage was moderate to the rear driver’s side bumper.
