New Ulm Police
• Responded to a welfare check at 2:28 p.m. Sunday and transported a 21-year-old New Ulm male believed to have overdosed on medication to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Dept.
• Responded to a harassment complaint at 6:11 p.m. Sunday. A 79-year-old New Ulm woman and her 47-year-old son said a 27-year-old Hutchinson woman living at their home was harassing them. Police advised the New Ulm man and woman to get a harassment restraining order against the Hutchinson woman. No damage or injuries were reported. A report was done for documentation.
• Stopped a 71-year-old New Ulm man for a driving complaint near Broadway and 1st St. N. at 6:31 p.m. Sunday. The man said he was on medication for anxiety and sleeping issues. A driving record check showed the man was involved in four vehicle crashes. A request was sent to the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles for a driver’s evaluation.
• Stopped a 45-year-old New Ulm man for an equipment violation at 7:33 p.m. Sunday at State St. and 8th St. North. Impairment clues were detected. The man was arrested for third and fifth-degree possession and an open cannabis package and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
• Responded to an harassment report at 8:36 p.m. Saturday between 23-year-old and 25-year-old New Ulm men over having a relationship with a married woman. A report considering a threats of violence charge went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and to Blue Earth County Probation.
• Stopped a vehicle at 11:51 p.m. Saturday at Broadway and 15th St. South for expired registration. Police found an open marijuana container and drug paraphernalia. A 36-year-old Lake Crystal man was cited for expired registration and warned about the drug charges.
• Arrested a 33-year-old New Ulm woman for DWI at 12:17 a.m. Saturday after stopping her for traveling in the wrong traffic lane. The woman was transported to the Brown County Jail. A report for consideration of third-degree DWI, open bottle, and no proof of insurance went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
