MVL Seniors Paige Berg (left) and Liz Halvorson (right) will compete State Speech competition in Park Center, Saturday in the duo interpretation category.

NEW ULM – On Saturday, April 25, Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School seniors Liz Halvorson (right) and Paige Berg (left) from will compete at the Minnesota State High School League State Speech competition in Park Center.

The two MVL seniors will compete along with the top 24 people in the same category, duo interpretation. This is the pair’s first time at state, and MVL’s first time having a duo perform at an in-person speech meet. A duo competed virtually in 2021. Paige and Liz earned second place at the 2A section meet to qualify.
