New Ulm Police

• Received an identity theft report from an 80-year-old woman on Cottonwood Street at 7:08 p.m. Sunday. A $90 charge was made on a Paypal account to Bath & Body Works. The charge appeared to come from Albany, Ore. A report was sent to the Albany, Ore. Police Dept.

• Received a vehicle vandalism report at Hillside Manor Apts., 1513 Payne St. N. at 1:51 p.m. Monday. A vehicle was keyed with a sharp object. A damage estimate was not available.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash with possible injuries at 5th Ave. S.W. and TH 14 at 10:54 a.m. Monday. A Jeep Cherokee driven by Ann Konz, 64, Sleepy Eye, was rear-ended by a Ford Edge driven by Meghann Bergstrom, 22, Darfur. The Ford had to be towed. Drivers complained of minor injuries but were not transported.

State Patrol

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on TH 30 and 660th Avenue, Adrian Township, Watonwan County at 9:28 a.m. Monday. A 2012 Chevy Equinox driven by a 72-year-old Courtland man was westbound on Highway 30 when it collided with a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by a 39-year-old Springfield man who was eastbound, tried to turn left onto a field drive and the vehicles collided head-on. The Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office and Darfur Fire and Ambulance assisted. No further information was available.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on TH 93, Henderson Township, Sibley County, at 4:02 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. A 1998 Honda motorcycle driven by Chad A. Kleinschmidt, 41, Le Sueur and a 2020 Ford Mustang driven by Leroy M. Lorentz, 64, St. Peter, were both southbound on Highway 93 when they collided. Kleinschmidt was transported to Ridgeview Le Sueur Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He wore a helmet. Alcohol was involved. Leroy Lorentz and a passenger, Debra R. Lorentz, 64, St. Peter, wore helmets and were not injured. Henderson Police and the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

• Responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 169, Henderson Township, Sibley County at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 11. A 2014 Chevy Cruz driven by Nikkia N. Clipperton, 23, Smithwick, S.D., and a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Drake Al Bullis, Lake Mills, Ia. were both southbound when they collided. Billis was transported to a Le Sueur hospital. He had not been wearing a seat belt. Passengers in the Chevy transported to a Le Sueur hospital were Logan J. Groebner, 2, and infant Berkely R. Juni, both of Butterfield. Another Chevy passenger, Meghann T. Bergstrom, 22, Butterfield, was not injured. All Chevy passengers wore seat belts. Alcohol was not involved. A passenger in the Ford, Maddison R. Stumm, 19, Belle Plaine, was transported to a Le Sueur hospital. Another Ford passenger, Carter Anderson, infant, of Belle Plaine, was not injured. Alcohol was not involved and Anderson and Stumm wore seat belts.

Redwood County Sheriff’s Office

• Encouraged residents to lock their vehicles and watch for suspicious activity after multiple theft reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles during overnight hours were taken in Vesta and Milroy. Report any suspicious activity immediately to the sheriff’s office at 507-637-4036 or call 911.

Comfrey Police Dept.

• Received a vehicle vandalism report at 105 Eastern Ave. S. Sunday. A vehicle window was broken sometime Friday night or early Saturday. A damage estimate was not available.
