Sibley County Sheriff

• Learned of a camper fire at Clear Lake County Park, 33150 615th Avenue, Gibbon at 12:53 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10. The Gibbon Fire Department found a fully engulfed camper trailer before extinguishing the fire. Nobody was in the camper at the time of the fire. There were no reported injuries at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Assisting agencies were the Gibbon Fire Department, Winthrop Ambulance and the Minnesota State Fire Marshall’s Office.

New Ulm Police

• Received a theft report of a black, 8-foot high Sasquatch made of masonite wood between Sept. 4 and Sept. 9. No value estimate was given. A report was made for documentation.

• Reported a squad vehicle hit at Payne and Center Street by a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old New Ulm woman at 7:42 a.m. Friday. A mirror was clipped on the squad vehicle.

• Received a two-vehicle crash report at U.S. Highway 14 and Jacobs Street at 1:01 p.m. Friday. A 2001 Toyota Camry driven by Marilyn H. Rannow, 77, Madelia, was westbound on Highway 14 when she collided with a 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Juan E. Ramirez Vargas, 19, St. James. Rannow tired to turn from Highway 14 onto Jacobs Street when the front of of the Camry hit the front of Mustang. A passenger in the Camry had a possible neck injury and was transported by ambulance to New Ulm Medical Center. Both vehicles had severe front end damage and were towed.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Received a report of a CB radio stolen by a juvenile at NAPA Auto & Truck Parts, 200 S. Highway 4 at 11:35 a.m. Thursday. The CB radio stolen by a juvenile, was recovered. It was valued at less than $100.
