NEW ULM — NUMAS Haus received a combined $2,000 donation from New Ulm Country Club and River Bend Business Products, Friday.

New Ulm Ministerial Association (NUMAS) Haus is an emergency shelter and support service for homeless women and children primarily in the Brown County area. Since 2016, NUMAS Haus has provided shelter and support to 84 homeless women and 85 children.

Matt Hansen with River Bend Business Products said NUMAS Haus staff would purchase items from their store. After management learned about the services NUMAS Haus provided, they decided it was a great organization to support.

Country Club General Manager Tim Huffman said each year the Pro-Am Tournament helps fund an area non-profit. This year NUMAS Haus was selected to receive the funds.

NUMAS executive director Nicole Schmiesing said the funds would be used to support ongoing programs. This includes shelter for homeless families, but also supplies and resources.

Starting at $4.50/week.
