Brown County Sheriff’s Office

• Responded to a personal injury crash at CR 29/257th Street, rural New Ulm at 12:35 p.m. June 16. A semi driven by Scott B. Mattison, 54 of South Dakota collided with an SUV driven by Amanda N. Nolette, 35, Canby. Nolette was transported to New Ulm Medical Center and later airlifted to another medical facility. Mattison was transported to the medical center with non-life threatening injuries. An investigation continues. No further information was available.

New Ulm Police

• Arrested a 35-year-old New Ulm man for DWI at 301 Water St. N. after receiving a domestic call at 5:37 p.m. June 18. The man was transported to jail awaiting court. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a vehicle at Minnesota St. and 2nd St. S at 9:55 p.m. June 18 and arrested a 55-year-old St. James man for cancelled driver’s license-IPS (inimical to public safety). The man is held in jail for court. A report was sent to the New Ulm City Attorney’s Office.

• Stopped a 25-year-old Lake Crystal driver for speeding at Broadway and 20th St. N. at 5:18 a.m. June 19. Police smelled marijuana, searched the vehicle and recovered marijuana and meth. The man was transported to jail, held for court. A report with 5th-degree controlled substance charges was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

• Responded to a disturbance report at Dittrich Specialties at 10:30 a.m. June 19. A report alleging disorderly conduct by a 32-year-old New Ulm man on probation was sent to probation and the city attorney’s office.

Sleepy Eye Police

• Arrested a 27-year-old Sleepy Eye man for alleged 5th-degree assault of a family member at 2nd Ave. N.E. and Main Street East at 6:34 p.m. June 18. The man was transported to jail. Minor injuries were reported to both people. A report was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.
