CIA in new location
The New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce Willkommen Committee braved the snow Thursday for a special ribbon cutting for Community Insurance Agency (CIA) at their new location at 616 North 17th Street. City Councilor Les Schultz cut the ribbon held by Willkommen Committee members Kathy Van Roekel and Emily Gleisner. CIA employees Meredith Jones, Melissa Schultz, Pam Wiltscheck, Dwight DeBoer, Andrew Meidl and Jolene Braird were on hand to celebrate the ribbon cutting. CIA originally opened in 1981 in Lafayette, but recently expanded into New Ulm. Owner Dwight DeBoer said they officially open at office in New Ulm in October. CIA is an independent insurance agency with 10 agents, offering all kinds of insurance coverage including home, auto, farm, crop and business.
