NEW ULM — The Community and Seniors Together (CAST) Senior Center has scheduled two additional sessions for the senior driver refresher classes, due to continued high demand. The additional dates will be Wednesday, May 11, and Monday, May 23.

The classes scheduled for March 18, March 30 and April 11 are full. Please choose Monday, April 18; Wednesday, May 11; or Monday, May 23. Register by calling the CAST office at 507-354-3212 and leave a message with your name, address, and phone number, or email castnu@newulmtel.net.

All classes will be held from 1-5 p.m. in Room 112 at the CAST Senior Center, 600 N. German St., New Ulm. The fee is $24, payable by cash or check to the Minnesota Highway and Safety Research Center (MHSRC) on the day of class.

Pre-registration is required, and each session is limited to 48 people.

CAST is partnering with its new provider, MHSRC, a program from St. Cloud State University, to offer these 55+ driver discount classes. This is the same 4-hour program and provides the same insurance discount eligibility as the previous provider.
