The band Revline performed country/rock music at the fairgrounds.

Headquartered in New Ulm with branches in Lakeville, Lafayette, La Salle, Watkins and Ormsby, the bank was founded in 1876 and still operates under community ownership.

The bank has consistently earned top ratings for financial strength and customer service.

A new bank building made of stone, brick and concrete was completed in 1914 at the current bank location on Minnesota Street, downtown New Ulm. It is the oldest bank in New Ulm and one of the oldest in Minnesota.

The bank has celebrated anniversaries with large crowds many times.

More than 3,000 people participated in the bank’s 50th anniversary in 1926 when the bank’s main lobby was transformed into a flower garden.

With continued growth, the bank bought the adjacent Dacotah Hotel for future development in 1968 and operated the hotel until it closed in 1971 and the building was demolished.

A 1973 bank expansion included walk-up banking, a community first.

The bank purchased another adjacent property, The Office Bar, in 1988 and added an insurance agency in 1989.

Citizens Bank purchased a Lafayette branch office in 1992 and a La Salle branch in 1998.

A major renovation project was completed in 2000. Online banking was added in 2001.
