The Park and Recreation Commission article that ran in the Jan. 11 edition of the New Ulm Journal incorrectly stated the Cemetery and Monument Commission unanimously recommended the changes made to Veterans Square in German Park during their December meeting. The Cemetery and Monument Commissions vote was not unanimous. Elroy Ubl voted against the change. Ubl said he supported a Vietnam Veteran memorial. He believed it was long overdue, but did not agree with the location in German Park.
