NEW ULM — Organizers of the Brown County Relay for Life announce that this year’s relay has been cancelled.

“We felt it best considering the risk to the survivors that would be attending the event,” said a statement from the relay steering committee.

“We will be sending out the survivor pins to all survivors. Teams are still continuing to raise money as the fight to cure cancer is always ongoing. Please feel free to reach out to anyone you know that is on a team if you wish to give a donation. Any luminaria created and paid for this year will be used at next year’s Relay. This year would have been our Relay’s 25th year, but as we are not celebrating it this year, we will be coming back next year with a great 25 year celebration! We look forward to seeing all of you July 30th, 2021!”
