Dos Santos began drawing around 1 p.m. and was surprised when her teacher Kristin Hillesheim presented her with even more chalk.
In a note attached to the chalk Hillesheim asked Dos Santos to “continue to brighten your days and the lives of those around you! I hope you can still chalk up this year as a great one.”
Dos Santos intends to take the request to heart. She plans to draw a different theme chalk mural every week. This week was zoo themed animals, but next week she wants to space themed with planets and stars.
