Building declared structurally unstable
NEW ULM — Sidewalk barricades on North Minnesota Street have been common due to the recent construction of the new Alliance Bank, but for over a week, a barricade and caution tape was also placed across the street at 307 N. Minnesota St.
New Ulm Fire and Building Inspector Ellwood Zabel said the barricade was put in place due to structural stability problems with the northern wall of the building.
The building is currently unoccupied. The building owner has 30 days to bring the building into compliance. The deadline is March 15.
