The New Ulm Area Sport Fishermen announce the results of their free youth fishing contest held Aug. 15 at Riverside Park.

A total of 143 fish were caught, including sheephead, carp, catfish, sucker and walleye

A total of 184 kids registered for the event, many of them first timers at fishing

Contest winners were:

1. Dylan Armstrong, 5 lb, 11 oz Catfish

2. Maydalyn Mielke 5 lb, 10 oz Carp

3. MiKayla Thomson 3 lb, 6 oz Carp

4. Rogan Richter 3 lb, 6 oz Carp

5. Kelsi Havemeier 3 lb, 5oz Carp

6. Nathan Allen 3 lb, 3 oz Carp

7. McKinse Thomson 2 lb, 15 oz Carp
