Brown County Sheriff’s Office • Cited a 22-year-old New Ulm male for driving without a motorcycle endorsement at CR 13 and 223rd St., Cottonwood Township at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday. He braked to avoid turkeys on CR 13 and put down a 2018 Harley Davidson motorcycle. He had road rash to his elbow, knee and back but declined medical attention. New Ulm Police • Responded twice to disturbance reports at the Brown County Evaluation Center, Detox Division at 11:15 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. Monday. A 20-year-old Minneapolis man hit staff and threw a chair at them. Minor injuries report, medical attention was not sought. The man was charged with 5th-degree assault in Brown County Court Tuesday. • Stopped a suspicious vehicle in the Hy-Vee Foods parking lot at 6:21 p.m. Monday. A 2000 Ford Econoline driven by Gordan Orran Batzlaff, 67, New Ulm, stopped to yield to traffic on Broadway when a 2008 Ford Escape driven by Lexi Rebecca Fluegge, 16, New Ulm, rear-ended the Econoline. Police said the suspect is a 38-year-old New Ulm man who works at detox. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for consideration of prescription drug theft charges. • Police were dispatched to an area between Front Street N. and the Minnesota River at 10:28 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a disturbance and firearm discharge.
