Brewers host Hutchinson in amateur baseball season opener

NEW ULM — The 2026 amateur baseball season for the New Ulm Brewers opens at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when the Brewers host Hutchinson at Johnson Park. This Sunday, the Brewers open their home Tomahawk East season at Johnson Park when they host St. James at 5 p.m. This will be a special day as this will be the last day that the current Johnson Park scoreboard will be used. Eagles clay target team completes Week 3

New Ulm completed its third week of competition in clay target shooting this week. Leading the Eagles in trap shooting was Tilken Fruhwirth, hitting 46 of 50 targets. Madden Hinderman and Zachary Oswald were 43 of 50, while Tyson Goold and Benjamin Furth hit 41 of 50 targets. Charlie Arndt led the team in skeet shooting, hitting 45 of 50 targets. Fruhwirth hit 41 of 50, while Tate Isaacson was 37 of 50.
