Price, Winkelmann, Murphy lead All-Journal Girls Golf

Sam Price, Jr.,

SEU

Price helped lead SEU to its fourth consecutive Class A State Tournament appearance, shooting an average of 44.4 per nine holes this season. Price was the Section 2A Girls Golf Champion and placed 26th at the state tournament.

Mavri Winkelmann,

Fr., Springfield

Winkelmann made her second trip to the state tournament this season, shooting an average of 90.5 to place 30th. On the season, Winkelmann averaged 46 strokes per nine holes.

Kiara Murphy, Jr.,

SEU

Murphy helped take Sleepy Eye United to the state tournament this year with a 49.7 nine-hole average. Murphy placed 54th at the state tournament, shooting a 197 in her junior season.

Ava Lipetzky, Fr.,

Springfield

Lipetzky averaged 51 strokes per nine holes this season and qualified for the Class A State Golf Tournament for the second season, where she placed 66th with a 210.

Chloe Walter, Sr.,

SEU

Walter was third on the Section 2A Champion Sleepy Eye United girls golf team in nine-hole average this season, averaging 51.2 strokes. Walter placed 50th at the state tournament with a 195.

Anika Lee, Fr.,

GFW

An All-Conference golfer, Lee averaged 54.2 strokes per nine holes this season to lead the Thunderbirds. She finished 10th overall in the conference tournament.
