Avery Carlson has done it all for the Wabasso Rabbits softball team in her senior year. She’s leading the team at the plate with a .467 batting average while also pitching and posting a 1.31 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 11 games.

Q: What is your favorite game you’ve played in during your high school career so far?

A: My favorite was our section championship [softball] game last year. We played Edgerton in Marshall and we came up short, but it was one of the most energetic, the atmosphere was just so cool.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Pizza.

Q: What is a hobby of yours outside of sports?

A: I actually love to bake and decorate cakes. I actually have my own baking business called Ave’s Cakes. (Find her on Instagram at aves.cakes11)

A: Taylor Swift.
