New Ulm Cathedral senior Levi Franta earned a Game 1 win in a doubleheader at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s on Tuesday, striking out six and allowing one earned run in 4 1/3 innings. He was also 2 for 4 with three RBIs in that game. In Game 2, he was 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Q: Who is your favorite baseball player?

A: I’d have to go with

Bryce Harper.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: I’d have to go with steak. Probably [with] a twice-baked potato.

Q: What is a dream vacation you’d like to go on?

A: New Zealand. It just seems beautiful over there.

Q: What is your

favorite movie?A: The Benchwarmers.

Q: What’s the best memory you’ve had in your baseball career so far?A: Probably honestly going to state back-to-back years [in baseball]. It’s just been pretty much a dream of mine since I was like 5 years old, going to a state tournament in baseball.
