Springfield 55, Windom 15

WINDOM — Springfield defeated Windom 55-15 in a Southwest District, South Subdistrict football game Wednesday.

Jakob Nachreiner had 222 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while Sam Rummel had 139 yards and four TDs on the ground. Gavin Vanderwerf added 122 yards and a score rushing, while Brayden Sturm had 92 yards and two touchdowns receiving. On defense, Sturm had a sack and an interception, while Sam Pidde had a 60-yard kickoff return.

Springfield (7-1) begins section play on Tuesday.

Adrian/Ellsworth 22,

SEU 18

ADRIAN — Adrian/Ellsworth defeated Sleepy Eye United 22-18 in a Southwest District, South Subdistrict football game Wednesday.

Caden Evers had 177 yards and two touchdowns passing, while Jon Petermann had 127 yards and a touchdown rushing. Austin Uecker had five catches for 99 yards and a score, while Petermann added two for 30 and a TD receiving.

SEU finishes its regular season with a 6-2 record and begins section play on Tuesday.

Hills-Beaver Creek 40, Cathedral 18

HILLS — Hills-Beaver Creek downed New Ulm Cathedral 40-18 in a Nine-Man South District, West Subdistrict football game Wednesday.

Jaden Helget led the Greyhounds with 7 carries for 98 yards and a TD, while Josh Bentler had four carries for 71 yards and a TD. Jevan Wilfahrt added 42 yards and a TD rushing.

Defensively, Joe Gillis had 14 tackles, while Wilfahrt had 11 tackles.

Cathedral finishes its regular season with a 6-2 record and starts section play on Tuesday.

Late Tuesday

MCC 21, Wabasso 12

SLAYTON — Murray County Central held off Wabasso 21-12 on Tuesday night in a Southwest District, South Subdistrict football game.

Wabasso got a 4-yard TD run by Joe Liebl and a Liebl-To-Kaysen Harms TD pass of 20 yards for its scores. Liebl completed 8 of 26 passes for 89 yards, the TD and one interception, while Harms hauled in six passes for 75 yards. Sam Zeug also rushed for 62 yards on 11 carries for the Rabbits.

Zeke Olson had two sacks for the Rabbits’ defense, while Boston Brand had 17 total tackles.
