BURNSVILLE — New Ulm Legion Gold defeated Eastview 19-7 in six innings on Saturday to win their pool but fell 5-2 to the Rochester Redhawks in the semifinals of the Burnsville Tournament on Sunday.

Zach Hubbard was the winning pitcher against Eastview, striking out one and allowing five runs on seven hits in three innings. Colin Forstner pitched the other three innings. striking out three and allowing two runs on seven hits. At the plate, Jake Finstad and Levi Hopp each had two hits and three RBIs, while Hunter Larson had two hits and two RBIs. Alex Portner, Josh Forstner and Candon Brigs all collected two hits.

Briggs took the loss in the semifinals against Rochester, striking out one and allowing four earned runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings. Fostner pitched 2 2/3 innings, striking out two. At the plate, Hubbard was 2 for 4 with an RBI, while Finstad and Larson each had two hits. Kyle Albrecht had a hit and an RBI.

New Ulm (4-2) plays at Marshall on Tuesday.
