SHERBURN — Sleepy Eye overcame a 2-1 match deficit to earn a 23-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-14, 15-12 win over Martin County West on Monday night in nonconference volleyball action.

Kadence Hesse led the Indians with 18 kills, 14 digs, four aces and four blocks, while Brea Mertz had 13 kills and 15 digs. Paige Haala added 10 kills and 10 digs for Sleepy Eye, while Hannah Meyer finished with 40 set assists, 21 digs and seven aces.

The Indians finish their regular season with a 17-7 overall record and will have a first-round playoff bye as the No. 2 seed. They will play the winner of Springfield vs. Mountain Lake Area on Monday at Sleepy Eye High School.
