Area roundup: LSH tops St. Mary’s in 4

SLEEPY EYE — Le Sueur-Henderson came back to top Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s in four sets of nonconference volleyball action on Monday night, winning 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Josie Helget had 41 set assists for the Knights in defeat, while Jenica Schroepfer had 12 kills and 23 digs and Reese Hoffman had nine kills, three blocks and 20 digs. Also for St. Mary’s, Kailey Nelson had eight kills and four blocks, Amelia Schwartz had eight kills and three blocks, Addie Hoffmann had 24 digs, Natalie Fischer had 14 digs and Maria Schwartz had two blocks.

The Knights are at Sleepy Eye for a Tomahawk Conference cross-town battle on Thursday night.

ACGC 3, Cedar Mountain 1

MORGAN — Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons held off Cedar Mountain on Monday night in a nonconference volleyball match.

Hailey Hollar led the Cougars in defeat with 12 kills and 12 digs, while Aubrey Steffl had nine kills and 19 digs, Reagyn Kleinschmidt had five kills and Kendra Erickson had 28 set assists, five kills and 10 digs. Also for Cedar Mountain, Lauren Baringer had 22 digs and Kylie Koerner had 12 digs.

Cedar Mountain travels to Winthrop to play Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop in a Tomahawk Conference match Tuesday night.
