Brewers blank Lake Crystal

NEW ULM — New Ulm Brewers left-hander Adam Slander tossed five innings of no-hit ball and reliever Zach More held Lake Crystal bats to two hits in three innings as the New Ulm Brewers blanked Lake Crystal 10-0 Friday night in a non-league game at Mueller Park.

The game was stopped after eight innings because of the 10-run lead rule.

Slander struck out four and allowed two baserunners.

Dom Comacho took the loss for the Lakers.

J.T. Hoffmann had two hits for the Brewers with Trevor Nissen driving in two runs.

The Brewers, who host Leavenworth Sunday at 4 p.m. in an exhibition game, took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a Nissen single and ensuing error and an Andrew Peters single.

The Brewers added a run in the fifth on an error before adding two more in the seventh on an error and a Sam Keckeisen groundout.

Th Brewers then scored five runs in the eighth on four hits and two walks.
