STARK — The New Ulm Brewers defeated the Stark Longhorns 4-1 on Wednesday night in a Tomahawk East League amateur baseball game.

Colten Schaefer was 3 for 5 to lead the Brewers at the plate, while J.T. Hoffmann was 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Jordan Guggisberg and Josh Seidl each had two hits for New Ulm, with Guggisberg driving in a run. Wade French got the complete-game win for New Ulm, giving up six hits and two walks for one earned run while fanning eight.

Mason Cox was 1 for 3 with an RBI to lead Stark at the plate, while Sean Mathiowetz was 1 for 3 with a run scored. Zach Haala took the loss in all nine innings, giving up 12 hits and a walk for four earned runs. He struck out six.
