• Fischer took first place on the girls’ side at Tuesday’s Section 2A cross-country meet in Montgomery. The Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral runner won the event in 19:56.58. The SM/SE/NUC girls took 13th in the event with a combined team score of 373 points.
