• Roufs scored New Ulm’s lone goal on Thursday in a Section 2A playoff home game against Waseca. The eighth-seeded Eagles won 1-0 and moved on to a Saturday game against top-seeded Mankato West.

• Against West, Roufs scored New Ulm’s first goal of the game in the first half and assisted on Paige Kalis’ game-winning goal in overtime to help the Eagles topple Mankato West 2-1. It was the first win the Eagles had over the Scarlets since 2011. With that win, New Ulm moved on to the next round of the Section 2A girls’ soccer playoffs. The Eagles are at No. 4 seed Waconia at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.

• Roufs, who is going to play soccer at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall next year, has 14 goals and 11 assists for the Eagles this season.
