Titans promote Marz to 53-man roster

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Offensive tackle Tyler Marz was promoted to the Tennesee Titans’ 53-man roster from the team’s practice squad on Saturday.

The former Springfield Tiger and University of Wisconsin graduate was originally signed by the Titans as a rookie free agent following the 2016 NFL draft. Last season, Marz was signed to the Los Angeles Chargers’ active roster, where he spent Weeks 3-8, but did not see the field before being waived and re-signed to the Titans’ practice squad.

The 6-7, 316-pounder could see time on the field Sunday when the Titans take on the Houston Texans after tackles Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin were ruled out for Sunday’s game, and Dennis Kelly was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.

To make room for the move, the Titans waived cornerback Kenneth Durden.
