Lamberton stays unbeaten in 2C

LAMBERTON — Lamberton improved to 3-0 in Region 2C amateur baseball action with a 7-1 trouncing of New Ulm on Tuesday.

New Ulm now falls to 0-3 in 2C action.

Lamberton led 1-0 in the top of the sixth, but New Ulm tied the game on a bunt hit.

Lamberton scored twice to take a 3-1 lead and four more times in the eighth to put the game away. Colby Pack led Lamberton’s offense with two RBIs.

Derrick Jenniges earned the win for Lamberton. Chris Cariveau took the loss for New Ulm.

New Ulm had several chances to score but the LongSox got out of several jams.

New Ulm plays Springfield on Friday in a game at Leavenworth and Lamberton is at Stark on Friday.
