Drop off boxes for ballots
To the editor:
Due to the pandemic and assault on the Postal Service, voting in this crucial presidential election, Nov. 3 , could be challenging. I’d like to offer another option for mail-in ballots. Why not place secure Ballot Boxes in convenient locations? Voters could drop off their ballots at their convenience. Then two people, one Republican and one Democrat, would retrieve these ballots together and deliver them together to the Courthouse for verification and tabulation. lt could ease the strain on the Postal Service and give peace of mind that one’s vote was counted.
