Mass of Christian burial will be 11 am on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, June 14th, and continue from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday, June 15th all at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-North Chapel in New Ulm.

Margaret is survived by her children, Paulette Shilling of Four Oaks, North Carolina, Gregory Bender of Wiesbaden, Germany, Rebecca Bown of East Bethel, Nancy Jo Dauer of New Ulm, Joseph Bender of New Ulm; her 10 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren,

Margaret Joan Geiss was born on September 7, 1939, in Bismarck, North Dakota to Joseph J. and Margaret M. (Graner) Geiss.
