Arlon Fritsche
Arlon Fritsche, age 88, of New Ulm, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Woodstone Senior Living in New Ulm.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with Pastor Scott Oelhafen officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul’s Cemetery in New Ulm.
Full military honors will be provided by the New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes-SOUTH chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at church.

Arlon is survived by his son, Paul (Melanie) Fritsche of New Ulm; their children, Andrew Fritsche and Daniel (Julie) Fritsche and their children, Adam and Ryan; his daughter, Laura (Kevin) Isaacson of Lafayette; their children, David (Jennifer) Isaacson and their child, Ezra, and Darrin Isaacson and his child, Kylee; son, Mark (Linda) Fritsche of Oak Grove; brother, John (Erika) Fritsche of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Gerri Wilfahrt of New Ulm; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Loraine, in 2016.
Arlon Elsworth Fritsche was born Nov. 7, 1933, to Paul and Hilda (Radloff) Fritsche on the family farm in Milford Township. He attended country school and was a 1951 graduate of New Ulm High School. After high school, Arlon joined the Army and served from 1951-53. On Feb. 24, 1955, Arlon was united in marriage to Loraine Juhnke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm. The two were blessed with three children. Arlon and Loraine raised their children on the family farm, which his family lived on since 1923. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His whole life, Arlon was a dedicated farmer, raising hogs and dairy cows and growing crops. Arlon was involved with many clubs and organizations, such as Farm City Hub Club, FFA, American Guernsey Association, National Dairy Research & Promotion Board, Milford Township United Fund and the AMPI corporate board. He had a passion for working with kids, whether it was instructing Minnesota 4-H shooting sports or being involved in other 4-H activities, where he was a lifetime member and served as a leader and a judge. In his time with 4-H, he was able to chaperone the kids to Switzerland and Australia. He also A proud accomplishment of Arlon’s was that he was the breeder of a grand champion Guernsey at the State Fair five times. Arlon was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and also served on its church council. Arlon would make conversation with anyone, never meeting a stranger. He was a friend to many and always made others feel comfortable. He will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
