Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022, at the Sanborn City Cemetery in Sanborn.

The clergy will be Father Garrett Ahlers.

Marilyn Jean Hensch (Wannarka) was born on Nov. 8, 1944, to Leonard and Arline (Anderson) Wannarka in St. James, Minnesota. She graduated from Springfield Public High School. After school, she met her husband, Charles Hensch, at the Westside Garage, where they were both employed. The two were united in marriage on May 1, 1965, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda, Minnesota. This union blessed them with four children. Marilyn was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed traveling and tending to her flowers.

Marilyn died on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester at the age of 77.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Joe) Bruggeman of Sleepy Eye, Mike (Kari) Hensch of Sanborn, Dan (Teresa) Hensch of Springfield, Jon (Becky) Hensch of Tracy; 10 grandchildren, Josh, Sarah, and Aaron Bruggeman, Matthew, Ashley, and Brandon Hensch, Zackary and Lucas Hensch, Kylie and Amber Hensch; three great-grandchildren, Mckenna Bruggeman, Cal Schwer, and Watson Bruggeman. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles, in 2021.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made in Marilyn’s honor to St. Jude’s Hospital.
