A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home — South chapel.

A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at a later date in the Solider’s Rest Section of the New Ulm City Cemetery in New Ulm. The New Ulm Area Comrades of Valor Honor Guard will provide full military honors.

Willard is survived by his wife, LaDonna Reiser of New Ulm; daughter, Barbara (Charles) Longworth of New Hope, PA; daughter-in-law, Lori Reiser; brothers, George Reiser of New Ulm, Frank (Harriet) Reiser of New Ulm; sister, Norma (Wally) Prader of New Ulm; grandchildren, David, Sarah, Rebecca, Alan and Michael; great-grandchildren, Emma Jean, Emma Jay, and Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Reiser; brother, William Reiser; sister-in-law, Marie (William) Reiser; and sister-in-law, Donna (George) Reiser.

Willard Wallace Reiser was born September 20, 1928 in New Ulm to William Sr. and Olivia (Guth) Reiser. After attending North High School in Minneapolis, Willard joined the Army. He served from 1948-1952. Following his service in Korea, he returned to New Ulm and joined the Army Reserve. On October 4, 1952 Willard was united in marriage to LaDonna Jutz in New Ulm. This union blessed the couple with a son and a daughter. Willard was a police officer in New Ulm for 5 years, and then finished his career as a machinist for Raygo Manufacturing. Willard enjoyed outdoor activities, squirrel hunting with his brother, teaching his children to love the outdoors, spending time at Swan Lake, and socializing with his Comrades of Valor and friends and family. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans. He will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
