Naomi Mildred Bode was born on Jan. 20, 1942 to Edwin and Minnie (Sperl) Bode in Nicollet. She attended Immanuel Lutheran school and Nicollet High School, where she met Lloyd Voges. On June 10, 1961, Omi and Lloyd were united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Courtland. The two were blessed with four children. Omi and Lloyd raised their children and spent much of their lives on their farm outside of Courtland, until retirement brought them to their current home in Courtland. Omi worked for H&R Block for over 20 years and also spent a number of years working at Kraft. Omi was a devout member of Immanuel Lutheran Church all her life. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, bird watching, knitting, fishing, watching ball games, her ladies group the stitch-n-bitch, time (over 50 years) with friends at card club, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
