A 50-year-old New Ulm man was arrested for third-degree DWI and transported to the Brown County Jail. A report was done for documentation. • Stopped a vehicle for speeding on the K.C. Police and Menard’s made numerous attempts to contact the suspects, a 41-year-old Minneapolis man and 49-year-old Lucerne, Ca. Man. The loss including late fees for the two items is $10,028. A report went to the Brown County Attorney’s Office for felony theft charges. • Stopped a vehicle for traveling in the wrong traffic lane at 20th St. South and Spring St. at 11:09 p.m. Friday. Cash was reported missing. Neighbors reported seeing a newer silver Jeep and man approaching the residence. An individual bitten in the pointer finger by a miniature schnauzer was transported to the New Ulm Medical Center for minor injury treatment. The dog’s vaccinations were up to date. A report went to the animal control officer. • Stopped a vehicle for an inoperable taillight at Broadway and 17th Street South at 9:52 p.m. Thursday. New Ulm Police • Responded to a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries at 1:43 p.m. Monday on the 500 block of 7th North Street. A 2014 Chevy Impala driven by Sharon Elizabeth Fitterer, 74, New Ulm, was in front of a 2012 Ford Expedition driven by Jack Christopher Griebel, 17, New Ulm northbound on 7th North. Fitterer slowed to turn right into the Express Lane station and was struck in the rear by Griebel. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. The Ford was towed. Fitterer had minor injuries.
