A 2006 GMC driven southbound on Minnesota Street by Douglas DeLeo, 84, New Ulm, collided with a 2007 Chevrolet driven westbound on Center by Willard Ranniger, 94, New Ulm. New Ulm Police • Received an assault report at Riverbend Area Learning Center, 1315 S. Broadway at 11:54 a.m. Thursday. A 13-year-old New Ulm boy reportedly scratched and pinched a school staff member. Medical attention was not sought. A report for consideration of a fourth-degree assault charge was sent to the Brown County Attorney’s Office and to Brown County Human Services. • Responded to a juvenile trouble report at Riverbend at 11:22 a.m. Thursday. New Ulm Police • Conducted alcohol compliance checks at area businesses with a license to sell alcohol April 17 and 18. Twenty businesses successfully passed the check and refused service to underage buyers. Thirteen businesses will be checked later for various reasons. Two businesses failed and sold alcohol to an underage buyer. A report went to probation. • Responded to a verbal altercation at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday between two group home clients. Property damage was reported. Reports went to Renville and Blue Earth County Human Services. • Responded to a burglary at the former Marktplatz Mall, 200 German St. N. at 9:17 p.m. Wednesday. Minnesota State Patrol • Responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 14 and Brown County Road 10, Home Township at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday. A 2014 Jeep Cherokee driven by Kayla Mae Christopherson, 27. Sleepy Eye, was eastbound on Highway 14 when it collided with a 2000 International tractor truck, driven southbound on CR 10 by Alexander James Krippner, 26, Hutchinson. A infant in the Jeep was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Both drivers wore seat belts and were not injured. Assisting agencies were the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Sleepy Eye Police, Fire and Ambulance.

New Ulm Police • Responded to a welfare check at 2:28 p.m. Sunday and transported a 21-year-old New Ulm male believed to have overdosed on medication to the New Ulm Medical Center Emergency Dept. • Responded to a harassment complaint at 6:11 p.m. Sunday. A 79-year-old New Ulm woman and her 47-year-old son said a 27-year-old Hutchinson woman living at their home was harassing them.
